Lion King sneak peek

Disney's massive The Lion King tour - apparently the largest theatre prodution ever to make its way across Europe - stops in Liverpool in May, and to whet our appetites some of the cast took to the Empire stage tonight for a taster. Liverpool-born Ava Brennan as Nala, Nicholas Nkuna as Simba and Gugwanan Diamini as the scene-stealing Rafiki showcased some of the musical's best known tunes, including Circle of Life and Can You Feel the Love Tonight. It all looked and sounded stunning. The show - now an unbelievable 17 years old - is an international smash hit that has grossed more than $5 billion, so someone's laughing. But tonight's snippet showed that is all not without good reason.
