If you fancy a new challenge for 2018, look no further than community theatre group What We Did Next, who are about to start auditions for their next production, Assassins.Assassins is a revue-style musical depicting historical events in the USA from 1865 to 1974, written by Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman. Most of the characters portrayed are based on real men and women who killed American presidents - or tried to."It’s an ambitious project and one we feel ready to tackle as we approach our ten year anniversary as a company," they say. The show is pencilled in for June and will be the latest in a long line of high quality musical theatre productions for the self-professed 'professional amateur' group.Auditions will be taking place in Liverpool city centre on Friday, January 26 (6pm to 9pm) and Saturday, January 27 (3.30pm to 7.30pm), and are open to everyone with no appointment necessary.Call-backs will be Sunday, January 28 from 2pm.For location and more details on the parts up for grabs, download the audition pack from their website.WWDN say: "The characters in Assassins are bold and varied. The full team will be a true ensemble cast, with a mixture of talents and strengths - for example, all actors must sing, but several do not sing alone. Many parts require strong character actors, some demand excellent comic timing and others must be strong singers with the ability to act through song."Email zoe@wwdn.co.uk with any questions, or there's more info and the link to the audition pack here: www.wwdn.co.uk/assassins.Check out the Facebook event here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1599630130151072/
