There's Three Sides to What We Did Next...
Liverpool theatre group What We Did Next return next week with the North West premiere of the off-Broadway musical Three Sides. Written by Grant Olding - the composer of smash hit One Man, Two Guvnors - it is described as “a rom com for the modern age”.After a depressing new year, a chance meeting leads Carrie to get involved with both Anthony and Brian. But when she can't decide who to ditch and both men fall desperately in love with her, even the simplest things start to get complicated.Veteran company members Franki Burke, Shaun Holdom-Eyles and Tom Lox are playing the love triangle, under the musical direction of WWDN regular Jonas Tattersall, and the company has certainly already had fun mocking up a variety of promo images inspired by iconic romantic comedies.Three Sides was first performed in London in 2006, before heading off Broadway and winning two awards at the New York Music Festival. It’s a wonderful show that touches on many aspects of being in a relationship, which I’m sure the audience will relate to.”What We Did Next is a community based theatre company, who describe themselves as 'professional amateurs'. Members include doctors, teachers, photographers and more, who succeed in putting on professional-standard theatre that otherwise would not be produced in Liverpool.
